Auditions are held in September every year and our season runs from September to April. Visit here to audition for the 2026-27 season.
Late applications are accepted until all positions are filled. If you are unsure if you are too late or too early to submit an audition application form, send us an email and we will reply as soon as we can.
Auditions are held at 70 Hilda Avenue, North York, Ontario. Once your audition registration is complete, you will receive more information about your audition time. If you would like to know about the specific audition requirements for your instruments, you can find them on our website under news. This usually involves some scales, a short solo of your choice, and one or more orchestral excerpts that we choose. You will be asked to play in front of a small panel of Toronto Sohrae Youth Orchestra teachers, who are not scary at all! For late auditions, we may replace the live audition with a recorded audition.
